Dr. Maria Marullo and her brother Dr. Paolo Marullo are incredibly talented and accommodating. We were at the very beginning of a two-week trip to Europe from the U.S. to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. I suffered a dental emergency greatly impacting both my comfort and confidence. After contacted several dentists in Rome and sharing information and photos with them we chose to go with Dr. Marullo. She was able to provide a proposed treatment plan that we felt good about as well as a quote over WhatsApp. Both Maria and Paolo spoke perfect English which added to my confidence in their team's ability to accurately assess my needs. Furthermore, we were due to arrive in Rome from Venice rather late in the evening. They stayed open late and agreed to see me at 10pm working well into the early morning hours to restore my teeth and my confidence. I am forever grateful for their professionalism, talent, and service. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs dental work while in Rome.

While visiting Rome, I cracked a molar. OWWWWW!!!!!!! Saltwater, cloves, and dental gum was not helping. Dental emergency for sure. I am a solo traveler so safety, quality pr9fessional care are priorities Needed an emergency appointment with English speaking, gentle, more holistic dentist that was accessible , safe and could get me in quickly. Plus? I have very low pain tolerance and usually require nitrous even for routine treatments. So needed someone who could be patient and respect that , with a gentle touch. Healthy Smiles reviews looked promising. Their site offered easy intake, assessment. I got an appointment that afternoon. It is a long established practice in a classic Rome building in lovely neighborhood. Very safe, cozy, comfortable. Dr Nuri was patient but firm. Actually listened but also gave me much education, on what was happening including impact of oxidative stress , former treatments. Her brother, Dr Paolo was able to offer 2nd opinion right away on need for dental surgery and saving teeth. Nitrous is not easily available in Italy - requires an actual anestgesioligist!!!! Noting my panic, so she assured me I could survive and do well. And worked with me on my using relaxation, breathwork, distraction with music , along with the novocain Gave the gentlest shots ever! Things were more complicated than planned so it took a few hours but they stayed past business hours and fixed everything beautifully. Even proactively followed up to be sure I am ok. Who does that???? I thought it would surely cost a fortune but was amazingly reasonable. 70% less than US for far better work. I may vacay in Italy every year just for dental care now. Highly recommend!

If you ever find yourself in the unfortunate position of having to search for an emergency dentist appointment in Rome, look no further than Healthy Smile and Dr Nuri. I was in a lot of pain and I was seen at short notice with a lot of care, I needed a stage one root canal which I’m glad to say relieved the pain! Nuria is an amazingly dedicated dentist , who sees the patient and their needs . She helped me trace and solve decay, that my own dentist did not see and could have had very bad consequences if left unattended… I would highly recommend this professional service and care.

I had emergency dental surgery performed by Dr. Nuri and her colleague Dr. Parisi on October 25th. I had a wisdom tooth removed in August. Unfortunately it became infected. I had a second emergency surgery in Siena to deal with the infection. The stitches didn't hold and a week later in Rome, the pain was terrible. I was very nervous about another surgery, but Dr. Nuri strongly encouraged me to come in to have it looked at after I sent her a picture of the unhealed site. She and Dr. Parisi calmed my fears and assured me they could and would do the necessary surgery to fix the wound and provide treatment to deal with the infection. They did the surgery and have since provided dedicated follow-up advice and care online and by phone. Dr. Nuri is knowledgeable and committed to Functional medicine and has given me some excellent guidance. For anyone needing dental work in Rome, I highly recommend Dr. Nuri and Dr. Parisi. They have given me committed and compassionate care far beyond what I expected. A huge thanks to both of these dedicated professionals.
